We ventured out into the cold today to get to our regular Chinese haunt. It was a bit of a trek, but as always it was worth it.
Today I had something new. It was so new they used a pink sheet of paper on the wall and everything.
It was double cooked BBQ pork with some spicy oyster sauce and cabbage and noodles with some other veggies strewn about here and there.
I'm not really sure what double cooked means, but it was reasonably good. A little chewy, but tasty.
I miss the 10 with noodles, but all the other dishes have been good enough to keep me happily coming back.
Double cooked means exactly that, cooked twice. For example, you might fry it the first time alone to cook it a bit, then cook it again with seasonings to add flavour.
