Michaëlle Jean is the coolest Governor General EVER!

I had to read between the lines a little to get the details, but as I understand it, Michaëlle Jean got hold of a fluffy white baby seal, tore it open with her bare hands, and then devoured its still-beating heart in front of throngs of adoring fans who chanted and cheered.

If that's not stickin' it to them PETA-lovin' European hippies who've blocked trade in Canadian seal goods, then I don't know what is!

Good for you, Michaëlle! That crazy dude in Temple of Doom's got nothin' on you!!!

And one more thing…

I'd nearly forgotten, until I read this article, which sums it up perfectly.

– I know Helio Castroneves has been through a lot in the last while. But if he starts crying on television one more time, I'm going to throw up.

Seriously. Suck it up, Helio. Quit being a whiney bitch. It's really getting annoying.

And while you're at it, you might want to have a word with your sister about PDA's. It's kinda creepy.

Memorial Day Racing!

Haven't had much to say lately. I guess I've just been enjoying the steadily improving weather.

I was all pumped about chillin' in my basement and watching racing yesterday, so the postponement of the Coke 600 was a bit of a drag, but it was still a good day.

Start off with breakfast, and then queuing up the Monaco Grand Prix on the PVR. As they went into the first turn, I turned to my wife and said "Well there you have it… another Button, Barricello 1-2 finish". Sure enough… that's exactly how it ended.

I love to see the success they're having, but can't help but fret the fact that it's obviously because they've got a leg up on the competition and has little to do with racing. The latter half of the season is going to be even more boring if nobody else has a shot at the title.

If nothing else, this season should be further proof that the "winner take all" championship format is a stupid idea. Of course, so is the "everyone has to use two types of tires" rule, and nobody seems to be talking about throwing that one out.

The Indy 500 was great fun up until the end. Too bad about the Ganassi cars. I was really excited about the finish until Helio went sailing off into the distance.

Here's hoping today's Coke 600 makes up for it. It's a long race, so having it on the PVR should move things along nicely.
